Business Development Representative

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by one of the premier sales consulting firms in the Twin Cities area to search for a Business Development Representative. This sales management consulting firm is dedicated to developing the best sales leaders and teams on the planet through our proven, holistic approach to sales growth. Their approach is based on behavioral science and our integrated system, Sales Performance Factors. They believe that Sales Leaders are the catalyst for change within sales organizations. To grow and scale businesses, companies must invest in equipping their sales leaders to not only have strong selling skills, but also a strong ability to understand and implement the key processes and systems in a positive, encouraging, empowering, and accountable environment that enables every sales team member to perform.

Major Responsibilities:

● Sales Planning – Developing and executing a sales plan for meeting assigned goals

● Prospecting/Networking – generating new opportunities by cold calling, networking with industry partners, following on event attendees and leveraging online tools.

● Sales Process – Following a defined Sales Process for selling to new customers

● Proposing – using Pivotal’s proposal templates. BD Rep will present our offerings and pricing to qualified prospects.

● Customer Transition – Working with Pivotal consultants to ensure a smooth transition to the consulting team with a focus on customer satisfaction and strong relationships after initial sales.

● Data Capture, Forecasting and Pipeline – Capturing and inputting data from customers and prospects into company CRM as well as providing accurate pipeline and forecasting information to management.


● Prefer at least 5 years outside sales / business development experience

● Experience in selling professional services including training, strategic planning or similar fields

● Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and growing sales

● PC proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) required

● General office environment in which this position includes periods of telephone and computer work that may require sitting for periods of time.

● Significant travel to prospect and client locations in the Twin Cities metro area (or extended area) and participation in events. In the future as we grow, may require airline travel as well.
