Miki Huntington

Miki Huntington served in the U.S. Army for 25 years before transitioning to a career in teaching. She’s currently an instructor at Minneapolis Community and Technical College as well as the College of Individualized Studies (CIS) at Metropolitan State University.

Committed to equitable opportunities for lifelong learning through leadership and service, Miki is a dynamic speaker and skilled facilitator. She has a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA, a Master’s degree from the University of Washington, and a post-Master’s Certificate in College Teaching from Capella University. She is a workshop consultant with the Minnesota Humanities Center and serves as Co-Chair of the Minneapolis College’s Yellow Ribbon Steering Committee, advocating for veterans and their families. Miki is also a member of the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and an active volunteer with the ALS Association MN/ND/SD and the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Miki has been featured in Lake Minnetonka Magazine and was recently honored as one of Minneapolis College’s 2017-18 Educators of the Year.
