TeamWomen is thrilled to welcome Alissa Henriksen, Co-President of Grey Search + Strategy, to the TeamWomen Board of Directors! This is a woman on a mission to make an impact in everything she touches! She has already made an impact in our TeamWomen community through her philanthropic nature as a sponsor and donor supporting our mission work, sharing her story to help others overcome challenges, providing our community with tips for virtual interviews, hosting Empower Leadership Academies, and being a phenomenal TeamWomen Brand Ambassador!
Alissa’s experience of growing up with dyslexia is her driving force behind empowering other women and young girls. Her mom has had a significant influence on her, always supporting her, having her back, and repeating these inspirational mantras daily:
You can do anything you put your mind to, so put it to good use. (We’re definitely stealing this one)
It’s clear to see where Alissa gets her encouraging and empowering nature from!
Grey Search + Strategy provides customized, strategic search and recruiting services for local, national, and global companies across various industries. Unlike traditional firms that focus more on “fill” than “fit,” Grey treats every opportunity as unique. Alissa, and her husband and co-owner, Lucas Henriksen, have successfully built the business from the ground up and have filled over 1000 positions nationwide with a dedicated and talented team since 2014.
Giving back is an integral part of her business, too. Grey Search + Strategy has sponsored every Women in Business event hosted by the MN State Chamber since 2014, they are huge supporters of TeamWomen, and they support Twin Cities Film Fest and the HER series. With Grey Gives 5%, they give 5% of their profits to organizations and causes dedicated to helping those in need.
Alissa currently sits on the board for the MN State Chamber, Chad Greenway’s Lead the Way Foundation, and is a recent past President and board member of The International Dyslexia Association Upper Midwest Branch.
Alissa’s journey exemplifies that Empowered Women Empower Women! Alissa has been a member of TeamWomen since 2018 and we’re excited for what the future holds with Alissa on our Board!
