Margot McManus Joins TeamWomen Board of Directors

Margot McManus truly embodies the TeamWomen mission of empowering others, and we’re excited to have her join our Board of Directors, bringing professional experience in human capital leadership and culture building! For the past nine years, she has been the Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for Bellisio Foods, a middle-market frozen food manufacturer. 

Throughout her career, she has established women’s networking forums, coached women on their career paths, connected them to job opportunities, facilitated women’s coaching circles, hired women from non-traditional backgrounds, and promoted women to senior levels. While she was at Navarre Corporation, they were recognized repeatedly for having 40% women on the senior team and the board. 

“Mentoring others brings me joy. It’s such a mutual relationship,” Margot says. One of her mentees started as her HR intern, has been promoted 5 times in 10 years, and is now the VP of People for a digital marketing company. Their relationship has grown over the years from Margot being the teacher to learning more from her mentee, and she loves it!

Margot’s mother was a powerful influence in her career. She was one of the first women to be in the management trainee program at Proctor and Gamble. She then became a teacher, accountant, and stay-at-home mom. Margot strives daily to match her mother’s exceptional listening skills and intuitiveness. She set a model of acceptance and inclusion that has shaped how she works and integrates her life.

She is passionate about serving on boards and committees that support women and families. She served on the membership committee of United Way Women’s Leadership Council for 8 years, and has been a member of the MSPBJ Women’s Leadership Council for 3 years with TeamWomen Executive Director Katy Burke! She has volunteered with the Crisis Nursery for 25 years, served on its Board of Directors for 9 years and as its Board Chair for 3 years. 

We are grateful that Margot is continuing her mission to serve by joining our Board of Directors!
