4th Annual TeamWomen WaveMaker Awards

Please join us for the TeamWomen 4th Annual WaveMaker Awards, hosted by our Young Professionals Board! We’re taking it up a notch and are thrilled to hold this special night at The Hutton House on Medicine Lake, an elegant and premier Twin Cities venue. Our media partner, Twin Cities Business Magazine, will help shine a light on recognizing up-and-coming, high-potential women who demonstrate outstanding achievement, an entrepreneurial spirit, and initiative through leadership within their profession and community.

WaveMakers are pioneers in their field who are respected by their employers and/or peers. They demonstrate outstanding leadership and serve to help the Minnesota business community, while helping women achieve their own goals. Help us celebrate, recognize, and support those who have made a profound impact on our community! Finalists in each category will be announced in July and winners will be announced during the program on October 10.

Emcee Ra’eesa Motala

Ra’eesa Motala is known by her tenacious nature, work ethic, and creativity. As a Corporate Solutions Broker with Lee & Associates, she provides strategic real estate solutions to her clients on a global scale. Her skill set and expertise represent tenants and owners in property negotiations, leasing, and acquisitions. 

She is also the co-founder of Noise M8kers, a socially conscious production company that focuses on the issues of our ecosystem and human rights, while working with minority and women-represented organizations. 

Ra’eesa is the first female Board of Directors President for the Twin Cities Film Fest, the premiere festival in the Midwest. She sits on the steering committee for NuLoop Partners and is on the Board of Directors for FilmNorth. She’s been recognized as Minne Inno’s 50 on Fire, honored as a Top Women in Business, and received two National Rising Star awards and a Humanitarian award.
