Developing leadership skills, building confidence, and strengthening resilience requires education and practice. Empower provides a safe environment for kids to learn and grow. Our experienced leadership coaches are dedicated to inspiring, developing, and empowering our next generation of leaders.
In partnership with Community Partners With Youth (CPY), the Empower Leadership Academy, which is free to attend, will take place on September 23rd, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
The youth attendees will learn social and emotional topics in an interactive, safe, and fun environment. This academy will allow them to walk away with tangible self-development tools to prepare them for an inspiring, hopeful, and engaging back-to-school in the fall.
Watching students struggle with academic pressures while missing out on the joy of learning is tough. We can do better for them.
For more than 20 years, I taught and advised college undergraduates at Macalester College. Today, I lean into that experience and apply my PhD in Educational Psychology to help students transform as learners through workshops, 1:1 coaching, group programs, accessible courses, speaking events, and institutional consulting.
Laura Boyd has over 25 years of experience working with organizations to help them develop sustainable growth and the people within. She has been a leader on executive teams for large companies, emerging companies, and non-profits, and she is also a business owner. She believes Leadership is the ultimate Delta for change, strategy, and growth in an organization, and she is now taking her years of experience helping businesses become high-performance organizations.
Laura has her Master’s in Organizational Leadership and certification in change management. Along with her years of communications and sales success, she is perfectly suited to help any organization assess, strategize, and develop both leaders and teams for growth.
Angela Gustafson left the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Marketing degree in hand and has since hopped from one exciting adventure to the next. From Corporate America, to the US Peace Corps on the Dominican Republic-Haiti border, publishing a children’s book, starting a youth cycling club, and building a granola brand that rocked the shelves of 200+ grocery stores…she’s now honored and excited to have some fun empowering young girls to chase their dreams! She lives close to Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, MN with her husband and has four young adult children scattered as far away as Thailand.
