Did you know 8 out of 10 women end up solely responsible for their finances, by force or by choice, at some time during their life? Learn how women can break the cycle of financial abdication and take control of their wealth on October 15th with Heather Crist. This event will give you the tools to know where you stand and what you want for the future.
Heather Crist is the Divisional Director of the Midwest Region for UBS Global Wealth Management (“GWM”). In this role, she is responsible for the growth of UBS throughout 14 states and helps high net worth families and individuals pursue their life goals.
A Diverse Career, Here and Abroad
Heather joined UBS in 2018 in New York City as Chief of Staff for the President of Americas and Co-President of Global Wealth Management, including the wealth management businesses outside the US.
Prior to joining UBS, Heather spent 28 years with Wells Fargo and its legacy wealth management companies, Prudential and Wachovia, in various roles and countries. She began her career with Prudential Financial in Chicago, where she served as a financial advisor and then a producing branch manager. In 1996, she moved to Hong Kong and then Singapore for her new role as the regional administrative manager of Asia Pacific, covering wealth management from Shanghai to Sydney. In 2001, Heather relocated to London and then to Geneva, Switzerland in 2002, where she served as the chief administrative manager of the firm’s Swiss private bank.
In 2006, after Wachovia had acquired Prudential’s wealth management business, Heather was asked to move back to America to serve as the chief administrative manager of the Latin America region. In 2011, following Wells Fargo’s merger with Wachovia, Heather joined the investment bank, working on international M&A. After a year with the investment bank, she returned to wealth management positions when she was offered the opportunity to relocate to her hometown of Chicago.
Education
Heather holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She previously served as chair of the Institute’s board of trustees and remains active as a member emeritus.
