SOLD OUT: Power Luncheon: A Conversation With Corie Barry

November 1, 2023 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm CDT - $45 – $65

TeamWomen Power Luncheons are a place for women in leadership roles to connect, network, and be inspired by other influential female leaders in our community.

Join us for a conversation with Corie Barry to hear more about her remarkable career journey and the unique experiences that helped shape her into the person she is today.

Corie Barry

Corie Barry is the CEO of Best Buy. She grew up in rural Minnesota with her parents, whose careers as self-employed artists regularly brought the family all over the country. Corie credits their travels as having immersed her in rich cultural experiences from an early age.

Corie got her undergraduate degree at the College of St. Ben’s, a small all-women’s school located near St. Cloud, MN. There she double majored in finance and management.

Having started her career at Deloitte & Touche, Corie joined Best Buy on a snowy December day in 1999. Throughout her 20-year tenure, she’s held a variety of financial, operational, strategic, and senior management positions in the field and at the corporate office. Now, serving as only the fifth CEO in the company’s history (and the first female), she leads Best Buy toward a healthy, vibrant future and fulfills its purpose to enrich lives through technology.

Corie met her husband in college, and they enjoy spending time doing all sorts of Minnesota-friendly activities with their kids.

Through it all, Corie takes pride in surrounding herself with people she can learn from and focuses every day on doing what she can to leave things better than she found them — including for her family, her community, and Best Buy.
