Tonya is a strategic executive and consultant in Human Resources, Talent and Organizational Development, and Diversity and Inclusion. Tonya holds over 30 years of professional experience committed to sustaining work environments and cultures that promote inclusion and engagement by relying on diversity of people, perspective, and experience to achieve the company’s mission, goals, and values.
A dynamic leader, speaker, author, professor, and organizational development scholar practitioner, Tonya is an ICF Certified Coach and a certified co-active professional executive coach (CPCC). She holds a BA in Political Science/Pre-Law from Clark Atlanta University and MBA in Human Resource Management and Doctorate of Education in Organization Development from the University of St. Thomas.

Tonya has broad experience in strategy development; organization and leadership development; change management; talent management; diversity and inclusion; employee engagement; training; learning development; talent acquisition; performance management; total rewards and recognition; employee relations; project management and planning; process redesign and implementation; HR outsourcing; business acquisitions; and reorganizations.

She has spent the last decade working in the healthcare industry. She is currently the Chief Human Resource Officer for Uc San Diego. She operates as a strategic partner with senior leadership, managers, and employees to design and execute organization development initiatives focused on instituting critical human resources practices or processes, culture changes, improving leadership and organizational effectiveness, and directing diversity and inclusion.

Amelia Santaniello co-anchors the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. news Monday through Friday at WCCO. Ten years after being with WCCO, her husband, Frank Vascellaro, joined her as co-anchor. They’re the first married couple to co-anchor a news program in the Twin Cities. Amelia won the Reader’s Choice Best of the Year for four years in a row. Amelia started her career at WUSA in Washington, D.C., where she was a reporter trainee. From there, she went to WETM-TV in Elmira, N.Y., to WNEP-TV in Scranton/Wilkes- Barre, Pa., to WTIC-TV in Hartford, Conn. Amelia grew up in a career military family and lived in Virginia (where she was born), Japan and Texas.

Chanda Smith Baker has spent her 25-plus-year career at the intersection of philanthropy, business, government and community. An experienced CEO nationally renowned for her power and poise in leadership, Chanda has proven success leading complex organizations, recognizing and nurturing talent, and engaging and activating audiences toward racial equity and a broadened social impact. Smith Baker brings both her executive leadership experience in philanthropy and the credibility of a life and career spent advancing equity to the Conversations with Chanda podcast. Her interview style, rooted in her natural curiosity, love of reading and a deep knowledge of community issues, has struck a chord both locally and nationally.

Chanda is the Founder and CEO of Smith Baker, LLC, Co-Founder in Residence with The Black Collective Foundation, serves on the Board of Directors of several high-impact organizations and a Co-Curator of Portraits of Us: A Book of Essays Centering Black Women Leading Philanthropy.
