Rise Together: International Day of The Girl

In celebration of International Day of the Girl, TeamWomen, Girl Scouts River Valleys, and Project DIVA International are partnering to host a powerful day of learning, connection, and self-discovery designed to help girls recognize their strengths, build confidence, and envision bold possibilities for their futures.
Hosted at Junior Achievement North, this interactive experience combines leadership development, financial empowerment, and personal growth to equip girls with skills and insights they can carry with them for years to come.
The day will begin with TeamWomen’s Empower Leadership Academy, where participants will explore their unique strengths, values, communication styles, and leadership potential. Girls will complete the DISC Assessment for Youth, an engaging tool that helps them better understand how they interact with others, communicate effectively, and lead with confidence. Through hands-on activities and guided discussion, participants will strengthen their self-awareness, embrace their individual gifts, and develop a deeper appreciation for the diverse strengths that make teams successful.
From there, Project DIVA International will lead girls through their From Allowance to Assets™: A Financial Starting Point for Teen Girls experience, supporting them in understanding their current financial reality, envisioning the lifestyle they desire, and identifying the actions they can begin taking now to move toward financial readiness and ownership.
The experience will continue with Girl Scouts River Valleys’ interactive session, Own Your Leadership, Own Your Voice. Girls will engage in dynamic activities that encourage them to embrace their stories, speak up with confidence, and advocate for themselves and others. Together, they will challenge self-doubt, uncover their authentic strengths, and develop the mindset and skills needed to lead boldly and authentically.
Throughout the day, participants will have opportunities to connect with peers, learn from inspiring women leaders, and celebrate the unique perspectives and talents each girl brings to the world.
Together, TeamWomen, Girl Scouts River Valleys, and Project DIVA International are creating a space where girls can discover their voices, recognize their strengths, build lasting confidence, and step into the leadership potential they already possess.
‼️ Please note: Families may choose either a 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. pickup time, depending on whether their girl participates in the optional Junior Achievement North 30 Dream Accelerator experience.
Parents/Caregivers: This is a drop-off event. Please ensure that emergency contact information and all required attendee details are completed in the registration form. Providing this information helps us ensure a safe, organized, and positive experience for all participants.
Attendees may be photographed and/or video taken for marketing purposes unless restricted. Please notify a Sponsor or Empower Leadership Academy member if your permission is not granted.
