Wendy has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, primarily in banking. She worked for Commerzbank in both New York City and Frankfurt, Germany, where she was able to use the German she learned as an exchange student in Hannover. After earning her MBA at the London Business School, she joined the State Bank of Delano where she held roles as board member, commercial lender, CFO and bank president.
Wendy enjoys focusing on family enterprise, including succession and strategic planning. She earned the Global Educational Network Certificate in Family Business Advising by the Family Firm Institute and is active in the St. Thomas Family Business Center.
She believes in civic responsibility and is active in the local nonprofits United Way and Junior Achievement, where she teaches financial literacy and promotes economic development.
Wendy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College, where she also met her husband, Jake. Together they have three sons and a Goldendoodle, Rosie. “Free time” is often spent supporting the boys, which includes lots of basketball, wrestling, football, baseball, track, music, and humor
