After a morning of confidence-building and leadership development, participants are invited to continue the experience with a hands-on, inspiring Bonus Afternoon Session focused on creativity, exploration, and future possibilities.

This extended portion of the day is designed to help girls connect leadership skills to real-world careers through movement, conversation, and building with their own hands.

What’s Included:

Wellness Reset Activity
Following lunch, we’ll kick off the afternoon with a light, energizing wellness activity designed to help participants shake out the wiggles, reset their focus, and re-center their minds and bodies before jumping back in.

What Does It Mean to Build Futures?
A short, engaging talk led by the event host, followed by a small panel and Q&A with women working in the construction industry. Participants will hear firsthand stories about career paths, challenges, and opportunities, showing that leadership and impact come in many forms.

Tools for Building Your Future
Participants will tour the construction shop area and enjoy a live tool demonstration. This session introduces them to some of the tools and materials used in construction and design, sparking curiosity and confidence around hands-on skills in a safe, approachable way.

Build Your Own Project
The afternoon wraps up with a guided, hands-on build project that participants can create themselves and take home. Projects will use pre-made kits and safe materials (no power tools or risky equipment), focusing on creativity, problem-solving, and the pride of building something from start to finish.

Our Empower Leadership Academies are led by a rotating team of trained coaches. These individuals represent our broader Empower coaching community. Coach participation varies by academy session.
