Panelists:

Ruth Tongen: Ruth is a Senior Vice President at think2perform, a consulting firm committed to helping organizations and individuals achieve sustained optimal performance. Ruth focuses on strategy for moving through transitions in a healthy manner. One area of transition Ruth specializes in is the path to retirement. She is a Certified Professional Retirement Coach and is also credentialed as a Senior Human Resource Practitioner.  In addition, Ruth is a registered nurse and has a master’s degree in Eastern medicine. She operates a health care practice, where she not only helps clients maintain peak health, but also helps them make clear decisions about their next steps when faced with choices about medical procedures and treatment.

Kathryn Hoy: Kathryn’s career in financial services spans almost 40 years. As a Financial Advisor and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®, she has learned a lot about what is important to people in their lives. Working with business owners, executives, retirees, and divorced and widowed women, to name a few, Kathryn recognizes the importance of understanding your financial picture regardless of where you currently are in your life. We are living longer, and those “after 50” years are taking on a new and varied meaning requiring thoughtful planning that covers liquidity, longevity and legacy. As vital as this is for everyone, she realizes that it is particularly important for women to engage in their financial futures and feel comfortable seeking the resources they need to navigate their finances with confidence.

Barb Fordyce: Barb has had a 30-year career in a variety of leadership positions in hospitals and clinics with the goal of ensuring that patients get the right care at the right time and in the right place. Her passion for helping others has translated to being the Owner and President of Oasis Senior Advisors, where she assists seniors and families in finding the “best fit” Senior Living Community (Independent Living, Assisted Living or Memory Care) and meeting health, social, financial, location, and lifestyle needs and preferences. She believes it is an honor and privilege to be a guide and resource to seniors and their families during this decision-making process and transition.
