TeamWomen Welcomes New Board Members

TeamWomen is excited to announce 5 new members to our Board of Directors and 2 new members to our Young Professionals Advisory Board. Our Board is influential in implementing our mission work that helps women and girls rise together through our three pillars:  Leadership Development events, our Mentor Program, and Empower Leadership Academy.

As the premier professional women’s organization, we are deeply committed to developing future generations of women in leadership. Each of these women is a staunch supporter of TeamWomen and has given us countless hours of service and support through their philanthropic nature. Please help us welcome this exceptional group of women to TeamWomen!

Alissa Henriksen, Co-President of Grey Search + Strategy, is a woman on a mission to make an impact in everything she touches! She has already made an impact on our TeamWomen community in multiple ways! As a speaker, she has shared her personal story of growing up with dyslexia to help others overcome challenges, she’s shared tips for virtual interviews that were critical for others to hear during the pandemic, she’s hosted our events at her beautiful space, and held her own Empower Leadership Academy. Alissa’s experience of growing up with dyslexia, receiving her mother’s fierce support, and being the mom of a young girl is her driving force behind empowering other women and young girls. The future looks bright with Alissa on our Board of Directors!

Margot McManus truly embodies the TeamWomen mission of empowering others, and we’re excited to have her join our Board of Directors, bringing professional experience in human capital leadership and culture building! She has been the Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for Bellisio Foods for the past nine years. Throughout her career, she has established women’s networking forums, coached women on their career paths, connected them to job opportunities, facilitated women’s coaching circles, hired women from non-traditional backgrounds, and promoted women to senior levels.

If you’re in the TeamWomen community, chances are you know nationally known speaker, author and podcast host Cathy Paper because she is a master connector! She shared her expert tips with us at a TeamWomen event and taught us how to network with confidence!  She also served as emcee for our annual leadership conference and kept the energy alive! She believes women need community to maintain and grow their personal and professional strengths, which is why she’s passionate about being on our Board of Directors.

Jasmine Stringer was the recipient of our 2020 WaveMaker Community Impact Award, and we’re looking forward to her making waves on our Board of Directors. Jasmine is a professional speaker, on-air lifestyle expert, strategist, and influencer on a mission to inspire, empower and encourage others to live their dreams. She works with people to help them create a vision and seize their life daily, precisely what she inspired us to do as a speaker at our 2021 Leadership Conference! She’s also the award-winning author of Seize Your Life: How to Carpe Diem Every Day and host of the podcast and lifestyle blog Carpe Diem with Jasmine

Edith Young has been in our TeamWomen community since 2017, and now we get to celebrate her joining our Board of Directors! As a woman in the technology industry, serving as IT Supervisor for Hennepin County, Edith knows how vital it is to empower other women. She has served as a Mentor for our TeamWomen Mentor Program and is passionate about building relationships and creating community. She is constantly cheering the TeamWomen community on, has also twice sponsored our WaveMaker Awards ceremony, and currently sits on our Leadership Conference and Membership Committee.

Sally Flinck, Director of Marketing and Communications for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin, is a Tennessee native who joined TeamWomen in 2021 after relocating to Minnesota. She may be new to Minnesota but is well-versed in working with nonprofits. She is currently our Vice Chair of the Community Outreach Committee. We’re excited to have her join our Young Professionals Advisory Board!
